There are also solo dances within Salsa which are also called 'Shines' which can help a person build concentration and self confidence in oneself. Salsa dancing is a great form of exercise that improves cardiovascular health, coordination, flexibility, and stamina.
Jazz
Jazz is an American style energetic and dynamic dance form which hails inspiration from various other social forms of dances. This form of dancing is known for its syncopated rhythms, improvisation, expressive movements, and versatility. Jazz focuses on isolating different parts of one’s body to create sharp and distinct movements such as hip isolations, shoulder rolls, head whips, and intricate footwork. The footwork steps are often layered over the fast-paced drum beats and basslines of footwork music. Chicago footwork has influenced other dance styles and has expanded beyond its original context, with dancers incorporating footwork elements into various genres such as hip-hop, house dance, and experimental dance
Dancehall
Dancehall is known for its strong sense of style, attitude, and individuality. Dancers incorporate swagger, confidence, and personal flair into their movements, allowing for creative expression and self-identity. Dancehall incorporates a wide range of body movements, including intricate footwork, waistline isolations, hip rotations, pelvic movements, and fluid upper body motions. Dancehall has a repertoire of popular steps and moves, such as the "Dutty Wine" "Gully Creeper", "Row Di Boat", "Nuh Linga" and many more. Mayur Bhang Chau is primarily performed by male dancers, who depict various characters from Hindu mythology. The dance involves intricate footwork, swift movements, and acrobatic skills. The dancers wear elaborate masks representing characters like Lord Krishna, Radha, demons, and animals.
